The Championships take place at the tallest tennis stadium in the world, the Aviation Club Tennis Center in Dubai, UAE. It has 14 outer courts and one center court, which has a capacity of up to 5,000 spectators. The stadium is the largest tennis facility in the UAE.

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships will take place from March 7 to March 20, 2022. The Championships offer a two-week extravaganza of some of the world’s most elite tennis players. Tournament Format

The 2022 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships will include the three standard tournament formats: singles tournament, doubles tournament, and mixed doubles tournament. The Doubles Tournament will run concurrently with the Singles Tournament, with the same eight players qualifying directly for the main draw as in the singles. This tournament will follow a standard 32-team draw, involving men’s and women’s doubles following separate brackets.

Qualifying Rounds

The qualifying rounds of the 2022 Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships take place in the days preceding the main tournament draw. Participants who have entered the qualifying draw are required to compete in three qualifying rounds, with the winners of the third round qualifying for the main draw.

The rules for the qualifying draw are laid out in the official tournament regulations for the event. Entrants are permitted two attempts per service, and players are to ensure that their racquets and equipment adhere to the equipment regulations laid out by officials. Each doubles team must consist of one male and one female player. The teams alternate playing the men and women’s portion of the match which will determine the winner.
