What is the Beach Volley Open Tour?

The Beach Volley Open Tour is an international volleyball event that aims to develop the sport of beach volleyball world wide. The Tour offers aspiring beach volleyball players of all ages the opportunity to compete in a variety of tournaments held in different cities throughout the year.

Rules and Regulations

The Beach Volley Open Tour (BVOT) welcomes all competitors who are eighteen years or older, which is intended to ensure the safety and overall fairness of the competition. Any participant under the age of eighteen must have a legal guardian sign a waiver form before participating in any events.

Each player must provide their own equipment, including a beach volleyball and kneepads, before competing. All players must be dressed in proper sportswear; tank tops and shorts are considered acceptable attire. Face protection is optional, but players must use only protective masks that are approved by tournament officials.

All games will follow standard regulation beach volleyball play, with the points capped at 21 points per set and 4 sets per match. If the score is tied at 24-24, then a rally score will be used to determine the winner. Games must finish before sunset, or say so if the competition is taking place at night.

No outside coaching or instruction is to be given to any players while in the tournament. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated, which will result in a warning or disqualification. Use of any drugs or other prohibited substances will lead to immediate disqualification from the tournament.
